The three-seater Granbambola sofa is part of the Le Bambole series, which was designed in 1972 and awarded the Compasso d'Oro in 1979. Le Bambole are a timeless modern icon and a powerful expression of first-class Made in Italy design. Combining research and creative flair, Le Bambole are a very personal response to the aspect of sitting. What makes them special is the apparent lack of a supporting structure, the distinct naturalness of the shape and the combination of comfort, softness and elasticity that their appearance conveys. While the original design was based on a metal frame embedded in polyurethane, the latest generation of materials are now used, with the frame made from recycled polyethylene. A sustainable project thanks to the choice of materials and the design that allows the components of Le Bambole to be completely disassembled and therefore easily recycled.
