Pastel furniture & decoration in spring
Do you ever look at the calendar and wonder how it can be the end of January again? This actually happens to us regularly! While it was only Christmas time, we are already thinking about spring again: the blossoming plants, the first warm breeze and Easter are not far away. The days are getting longer, the general mood is improving. How can you speed things up? With the right decorations and furniture! Today in our magazine, we show you what you need to look out for.
Spring decorations: the 1x1 of accessories
Admittedly, it would probably be too much of a good thing to completely renew our furnishings every spring. That's why the first thing we notice in February are the accessories and decorations that enrich our lives. The following items are quick and easy to use:
- Animal figurines: Away with the Santas, gnomes and reindeer - over to the figurines of spring. Of course, Easter bunnies and chicks are a must. Other animal decorations include chickens, ducks and other small bird figures. Give it a try. You will notice how quickly the atmosphere brightens up with small changes.
- Decorative cushions: In winter, we tend to pile up cushions in dark colors on our sofas. Fir green, wine red, etc. are simply the colors of Christmas. But that's over now. Bring a breath of fresh air to your upholstered furniture with light pastel shades such as pink, lavender or a light blue. You are also welcome to use different patterns such as stripes, dots or checks.
- Fresh flowers or branches: Spring beckons with fresh greenery. Of course, you can also simply bring this into your own home. A trip to the forest or a few fresh branches from your own cherry tree - straight into the vase and you have a chic spring decoration. At Easter time, these branches can also be phenomenally decorated with small Easter eggs. The first tulips can also move in and bring fresh color into the home.
Bright furnishings & fresh living trends
In addition to fresh colors, it is also an advantage in spring to opt for light-colored furnishings. Dark furniture made of cherry wood or teak may have a lot of character, but it can also affect your mood. Chests of drawers and sideboards made of light-colored wood such as oak, birch, maple or beech have a friendly and warm effect. Perfect for the spring mood.
Incidentally, Danish Pastel is a colorful furnishing trend for spring. This furnishing style plays with shapes and colors, but remains surprisingly minimalist. Soft green, yellow or even pale pink set the tone here. Lush rugs with patterns such as checkerboard or organic shapes are suitable as extravagant eye-catchers. Let Danish Pastel move into your home - you won't be able to get enough of the colors.
