The feel-good oasis in every home: the bedroom. Nowhere should we find more relaxation than in the room where we sleep. Only when we wake up refreshed in the morning do we have a good night's sleep and can dedicate ourselves productively to the day. And the atmosphere in the bedroom contributes significantly to a regenerative rest period. 1. choosing the right bedroom furniture

Did you know that our brain is highly active during sleep and processes the experiences of the previous day according to "important" and "unimportant"? The furnishings in your bedroom should therefore be completely designed to help you get a restful night's sleep so that you don't keep waking up and feel well rested in the morning. There are several options available to you here to make your furniture functional:

Complete bedroom:

The furnishings in your oasis of calm should ideally be perfectly coordinated. Furniture that is wildly thrown together not only disturbs the eye, but also your well-being when you actually want to relax. Our tip: buy an entire bedroom. If your bedroom is from a complete range, all the individual pieces will be perfectly coordinated to meet your needs down to the smallest detail!

Bed with bed base:

Provide storage space in all possible places if the room as a whole is not the largest. This is possible, for example, if you opt for a box spring bed with a bed base or another model with a built-in bed base. This allows you to organize your bedroom by simply storing seasonal bed linen, sheets, pillows, etc. underneath the bed.

Cupboard with storage space:

The closet is one of the storage wonders in every bedroom, but which one is right for you? Our tip: Check how much clothing you have and how much storage space you need. You should also consider seasonal clothing if you don't have a large wardrobe or a cellar. If the space allows, you can also set up several closets, but be careful: this can quickly make the room look cluttered.

2. organize your closet for tidiness

Clutter and a harmonious night's sleep simply don't go together. But even small steps can make a big difference. For example, have you ever organized your closet? This sounds much more time-consuming than it actually is. You just need to stick to a few things:

  1. First, clear all the clothes out of your wardrobe. Sort the items according to your preference. We recommend sorting by category (top, bottom, underwear, etc.) and by frequency, i.e. how often you wear which item.
  2. Then move the items of clothing that are currently or only very rarely used to the top, for example winter clothing in summer or bed linen. Proceed in the same way in the compartments: clothes that you hardly ever need go at the back.
  3. Next, place the items in the drawers and compartments so that you can easily access everything at any time. This may not always work, especially in the compartments, but you have sorted by frequency. In the drawers, for example, you can always place your clothes with a slight offset. Alternatively, an open closet is a good choice so that you can reach exactly the items you need.

3. find the right color

Have you ever heard of color psychology? This is the study of how colors affect our psyche. The scientific conclusion: for the bedroom in particular, a calm, unagitated color is the best choice to calm your thoughts. For example, opt for earthy tones such as sand or beige or soft shades of blue and green to create a calm atmosphere. It is best to avoid exciting colors such as money or red, as these activate your brain unnecessarily.

4. bedroom lamps - perfect lighting

Soothing, atmospheric, slightly mystical - choosing the right lamps can enhance the charm and mood of a bedroom and give you the relaxation you need. Bright light colors should never be used. Warm light colors are the be-all and end-all. We also recommend indirect light, for example in the form of a wall lamp that shines downwards and upwards at the same time, but never directly into the room. Skilfully set the focus with a few spotlights directly in front of your closet to illuminate the area in front of the mirror.

5. add personality with decoration

The bedroom thrives on a personal touch, because only if you bring your character into the room will you feel really comfortable. Use selected decorative elements and plants to support the relaxed atmosphere.
